In the Caspian sea on 10 January was an earthquake of magnitude 3.4 points. This is reported on the website of the Republican seismological service center at the national Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS).

The earthquake, according to ANAS, recorded 10 January at 14:31 Astana time at a depth of 60 kilometers.

Hypocenter coordinates are 40°28’48” North, 51°58’48” East longitude.

The earthquake occurred about 356 kilometers from Aktau.
