Russia inaugurated the national pavilion at EXPO-2017


Russia officially opened its pavilion at the International exhibition”EXPO-2017″ in Astana (Kazakhstan), which was launched on the same day. On the eve of the opening of the Russian pavilion was visited by President of Russia Vladimir Putin. During a tour of the pavilion the President was accompanied by Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov, energy Minister Alexander Novak, Director General of Rosatom Alexey Likhachev.

The Russian pavilion impressed visitors custom opening ceremony. Instead of the usual ribbon cutting, the General Commissioner of the pavilion Georgy Kalamanov and his colleague the Commissioner of the International specialized exhibition “EXPO-2017″Rapil Zhoshybayev broke the ice belt. “We will reveal the key theme of “EXPO-2017” “energy of the future” for example, the unique region of the Russian Arctic. This region is considered the most promising from the point of view of the development of alternative energy in Russia. In addition, this region is rich in minerals,” – said the Deputy Minister during his speech at the opening.

Especially for the opening of Astana was visited by the State academic Russian folk Choir Pyatnitsky, who presented a program specifically designed for opening of the Russian pavilion.

Introduction the installation “Energy of the Arctic”, a multi-faceted scenery with the glowing texture of the Arctic ice, a multimedia attraction”polar hemisphere”, as well as thematic sectors dedicated to the domestic energy achievements and future developments in hydroelectric power, hydrocarbon sector, the sector of alternative and renewable energy surprised the first guests of the Russian Pavilion.One of the most striking elements of the exhibition will be the real Arctic ice. The pavilion will demonstrate the achievements of Russian companies in the field of energy. For example, “Rosatom” presented the “new word” in the history of the icebreaker fleet of Russia – development of the atomic icebreaker “Leader”. This is the icebreaker of the future, which will enable year-round navigation in the Arctic regardless of the weather, he can overcome a 4-meter ice, and develops an unprecedented speed. Such features will greatly reduce the duration of cargo transportation along the Northern sea route.

The “EXPO-2017″will last till 10 Sep 2017.
